A young man moves into his first apartment and finds he has a very attractive neighbor. She in turn likes him, so much so that she suggests removing the door that separates their apartments. Well into the play, she (and the audience) is surprised to discover the young man is blind. His overbearing mother arrives and breaks up the budding romance. But of course she eventually realizes her mistake, the couple re-unite, and all ends happily.
For auditions, bring a short comic monologue (memorized or read) if you haven't worked with the director before. Expect to do some improv work.
